Deliver Multi-tenant Kubernetes Cluster services
Deploy Kubernetes-as-a-Service (KaaS) utilizing fully packed Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated (TKGI) clusters. TKG provides many benefits over native Kubernetes, mainly the prepacked developer solutions such as Harbor, Velero, Contour and more. TKG communicates with Cloud Director using the Cluster API for Cloud Director (CAPVCD) and allows users to create and customize Kubernetes templates and deploy and manage cluster lifecycle operations such as create, view, deploy, configure ingress, upgrade, and resize. You can also configure vGPU in TKG clusters for advanced high-performance compute workloads for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications, with App Launchpad, combined, you can now also deliver AI/ML applications into a private registry for deployment.

Dive automated infrastructure with Terraform
Many commercial cloud providers are supported in Terraform and on-prem infrastructure like Cloud Director, vSphere, NSX-T and Advanced Load Balancer. The VMware Cloud Director Terraform provider is used to interact with the resources supported by VMware Cloud Director, enables administrators and DevOps engineers to define Cloud Director infrastructure as code inside Terraform configuration files. This makes it an efficient automation and integration tool. The VMware Cloud Director Terraform provider supports an extensive array of Cloud Director resources, including networking, storage, compute VM, vApp and containers via Container Service Extension. The project itself is fully open-source and available on GitHub. HashiCorp is hosting it in the “terraform-providers” namespace with all the other official Terraform providers. If you’d like to contribute with a feature request, report an issue or propose a code improvement, please visit the project’s site.

Metering and chargeback services
VMware Chargeback service enables metering and chargeback capabilities, providing visibility into infrastructure usage through performance and capacity dashboards for the providers and tenants. VMware Chargeback service is used for metering the infrastructure services a Cloud provider offers to their tenants. It provides options to configure different models for pricing the metered infrastructure. VMware Chargeback service closes the loop by providing tenant-specific views that help tenants obtain an operations view of the infrastructure they are consuming, including metrics, charges, reports and alerts.
